Why we publish these numbers

whomi.bio is built in the open. Total bios counts every developer who has claimed a handle; Pro and Founder counts show who has upgraded — Founder is a one-time $99 lifetime tier capped at 200 seats, so the remaining-seat count here is the source of truth. Views, conversations and link clicks aggregate activity across all public bios on the platform, updated in real time from the same analytics pipeline that powers each user's dashboard.

The skills and location breakdowns come from what developers list on their public profiles, which makes this page a small census of the community: which stacks are most represented, and where members are building from. Methodology

  • Source: live queries against the whomi.bio production database — nothing is estimated, sampled or extrapolated.
  • Sample: headline counts cover every account since launch (2026). Skill and location breakdowns include only profiles that are public/discoverable and have that field filled in — private profiles are excluded.
  • Collection period: all-time cumulative unless a metric says otherwise; the page re-computes on load and responses are cached for 5 minutes.
  • Anonymization: everything shown is aggregated. No individual profile, message or click is identifiable from this page.
  • Known limitations: demo/seed profiles shown on our homepage are excluded from every figure on this page; skills are free-text and lower-cased before grouping, so "JS" and "JavaScript" count separately.
